Step by Step Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare the bread. Pour the olive oil in a frying pan and let it heat up. Add the onions and sauté for 5-6 minutes until they soften. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside.
- Step 2: Place the following ingredients in a bowl: water, milk, butter, yeast and sugar. Mix well until the yeast, sugar and butter have dissolved.
- Step 3: After that, add the flour and salt, and knead until the dough is soft and pliable enough, to shape into a loaf of bread.
- Step 4: Finally, place the sautéed onions, olives and oregano in the same bowl and knead for a few more minutes until all the ingredients have combined well and have become a uniform dough.
- Step 5: Shape a round loaf and put it in a baking pan, lined with a sheet of baking paper. It is recommended to oil the baking paper with a little olive oil. Carve the loaf and cover it with a towel in a warm environment. Leave it covered until it rises.
- Step 6: Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40-45 minutes, until the loaf rises well, gets a nice golden brown colour, and the crust becomes crispy.
- Step 7: Remove the bread from the oven and set aside to cool for 30 minutes. You can now serve.
