Herbs & Spices
The herb collection in Greece has been a custom since ancient times, as herbs were the raw material in medicine, perfumery, dyeing and cuisine. From Centaur Chiron of Greek mythology we pass to Hippocrates, the father of medicine and then to Dioscorides, who laid the foundations of herbalism. Today, interest in the use of aromatic and medicinal plants continues unabated. Dried parts of plants such as laurel, thyme, anise, valerian, oregano, lavender, etc, provide us with the spices, which contain aromatic, spicy and tasty substances, indispensable in cooking.
