Step by Step Instructions
  • Step 1: Prepare the sandwich filling. Put the tuna, the corn, the carrot, the onions, the dill, the peppers, the lettuce leaves and the pepper in a bowl and mix well, until the tuna breaks up and the vegetables are evenly combined.
  • Step 2: Add the cheese, some olive oil and mix until all the ingredients are covered.
  • Step 3: Spread out a fair amount of filling on a slice of bread and then cover with another slice of bread.
  • Step 4: Press the sandwich slightly so that it sits beautifully, cut it in the middle and serve.

  • 150g white tuna in water from Alonissos
  • 3 spring onions (finely chopped)
  • 1tbsp fresh dill
  • 1 Florina pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1 carrot (grated)
  • 150g corn
  • 5 lettuce leaves (cut into strips)
  • 300g xinomizithra cheese from Crete PDO
  • 4 slices of bread from a village-type round-shaped loaf
  • ground black pepper
  • some extra virgin olive oil
