Step by Step Instructions
  • Step 1: Prepare the pears. Peel the pears carefully, keeping the stalk and pour the lemon juice over them. Set the pears aside.
  • Step 2: Place the sugar, the water, the wine, the juice of 1 lemon, the spices and the ginger in a saucepan and boil. As soon as the syrup boils, arrange the pears carefully in the saucepan. Lower the heat and cook for approximately 30 minutes, until soft but not to a pulp.
  • Step 3: Wait for 20 minutes for the pears to cool and then serve. They can also be served cold.

  • 3-4 star anise
