Stavroula Spanelli produces a wide variety of pasta, in her workshop in Ioannina, of traditional, as well as more unusual flavours. Wholewheat spaghetti is kneaded with wholewheat flour, made with durum wheat and water and constitutes an excellent source of fibre. Tasty, easy to digest, with excellent elasticity, it stays al dente when boiled and is an inspiration for many pasta recipes. We suggest that you serve it with shellfish or with Alonissos tuna, capers and olives.

Product History
In the past, Greek villagers made pasta mostly in the summertime when they could dry it naturally. They would then keep it in the cellar of their homes and cook it in winter.
