Product Description
In the mountain villages of the Peloponnese, frumenty is one of the most beloved and popular dishes of the region's local cuisine. "Andritsena" sour frumenty is made with fresh sheep's milk which has been allowed to ferment and is known for its profoundly complex taste. It is highly nutritious, poor in calories, and low in fats. "Andritsena" sour trahanas (frumenty) tastes out of this world when served as soup. To spike it up, add crumbled feta cheese from the region of Arkadia and bits of syglino cured and smoked pork meat. During the cold winter nights, "Andritsena" sour frumenty is the comfort food you seek.
