Step by Step Instructions
- Step 1 :Whisk all ingredients together until well blended.
- Step 2 :Cover bowl with a towel and let rise for approximately 30 minutes
- Step 3 :In a deep pot or fryer, heat oil until hot.
- Step 4 :Wet your left hand and take a handful of the dough into it, as you squeeze your hand into a fist, there will be a ball that forms, on top of your hand, lift the ball with a wet spoon using your right hand and gently place into the hot oil. Repeat the process quickly until you have a few of the dough balls in the pot.
- Step 5 :Using a slotted spoon, turn the dough over and cook on all sides until golden brown.
- Step 6 :Remove the loukoumades to a paper towel lined plate as they become golden brown.
- Step 7 :Add more loukoumades as room is made.
- Step 8 :Drizzle honey over the cooked loukoumades while they are still hot, sprinkle with ground cinnamon and ground nuts.
- Step 9 :Serve and enjoy!
