Product Description
Stavroula Spanelli produces a wide variety of pasta in her workshop in Ioannina, of traditional as well as more unusual flavours. Her spaghetti, kneaded with juicy tomatoes, red sweet Florina peppers and tender spinach, impress with their flavour and colour. Tasty, easy to digest, with excellent elasticity, they stay al dente when boiled and become the incentive for many recipe ideas. We suggest that you serve them with a thin sauce, made with slightly sautéed vegetables in olive oil (zucchinis, green and red peppers, aubergines) and sprinkle some grated kashkaval cheese on top. You can also go ahead and garnish your dish with chopped parsley. If you are short of time, and want to create something exceptional, then choose one of the ready-made sauces available at www. and enjoy this exquisite spaghetti with… a Greek temperament!
Semolina, tomatoes, red Florina peppers, water.

Product History
In the old days, in the villages of Greece, pasta was usually made during the summer, when it was dried out in a natural way and kept in the house cellar in order to be served in the winter. It was considered one of the easiest food to make and a simple solution to feed a large and hungry family. Greek traditional pasta vary depending on the region, shape, size and way of cooking. Plain, with cheese, with some sauce on top, with meat, in soups or even in pies, pasta is a food that everyone enjoys no matter the recipe!

The history of the prefecture of Ioannina dates back to the Palaeolithic era (33000 - 8000 BC). Passing through the hands of various conquerors, during the 18th-19th century, Ioannina witnessed a great deal of intellectual, economic and cultural growth, thus promoting the educational level and its development. The high mountain ranges and canyons, the rapidly rushing rivers, the dark lakes, the mountainous villages and the stone bridges form a wild and natural landscape which is rich in colour and irregular forms – similar to that of a most beautiful mosaic.
