Product Description
The estate red was created from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties, with a smaller quantity of Agiorgitiko. Conventional red vinification methods are followed with extended maceration after the end of alcoholic fermentation. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, it is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. It has a deep purple colour that is almost blackish-red. Its nose brings out aromas of red fruit (gooseberries) and herbs mingled with notes of vanilla, cedar and milk chocolate. It is rich, expansive and well-structured in the mouth, with silky tannins that give it a long finish and great ageing ability. This wine can be consumed directly, or allowed to age for several years to be enjoyed later. Try it at 18°C. Food pairing red meats, barbecued meat or oven roasts, rolled pork, sausages, deli meats and soft cheeses.

Ktima Biblia Chora

Domaine Biblia Chora is situated on the slopes of mount Pangeon at Kokkinochori, Kavala. In 1998, Vassilis Tsaktsarlis and Vangelis Gerovassiliou created a vineyard of biological cultivation which today extends to over 350 acres. Within this stretch of land is the modern winery in which the wines of the Domaine are produced. The winemaking tradition of the area is not accidental. The position of the vineyards is on the southern slopes of mount Pangeon. The rocky soil and the climate of the area, which is affected by the cool breeze of the Aegean, are the most important factors for the grape production that make high quality wine. The philosophy of the winemaking focuses on the production of high quality wine that is bind by the ecosystem of mount Pangeon and expresses the uniqueness of the natural surroundings. To achieve this goal, the cultivation and vinification take place under special catering, using not only the knowledge and experience but also by merging tradition with technology.
