Product Description
Ovilos Red is a pure Cabernet Sauvignon made from our first vineyard block that got planted at the foot of the Pangaion Hills. This varietal wine takes its unique character from prolonged maceration of the grapes, extended ageing in new French oak barrels for 16 months and maturation in bottle for a further 24 months prior to its release. It has a deep blackish claret red colour. Enjoy it now at 16-18°C or keep cellared for up to 15-20 years. Its complex bouquet brims over with intriguing smells of ripe fruit, cassis, cedar wood, violet flowers and tobacco leaf. The palate of this well-balanced, vibrant red wine delivers an abundance of flavours of black cherries and raspberry jam, all entwined with a touch of sweet chocolate and acute tannins for longevity. Ovilos Red is appealing on its own and goes well with veal cuts, spit-roasted lamb or goat, venison and other game, and truffle recipes.

Product History
Most of the Greek white grape varieties have roots that are lost in the mists of time. They give us wines that are easily identified by the distinctive elegant aromas of citrus blossoms and ripe yellow fruit, such as lemon, lime or Peach and yellow apple. The level of fruitiness that you taste in a wine leads to very different growing regions.

Ktima Biblia Chora

Domaine Biblia Chora is situated on the slopes of mount Pangeon at Kokkinochori, Kavala. In 1998, Vassilis Tsaktsarlis and Vangelis Gerovassiliou created a vineyard of biological cultivation which today extends to over 350 acres. Within this stretch of land is the modern winery in which the wines of the Domaine are produced. The winemaking tradition of the area is not accidental. The position of the vineyards is on the southern slopes of mount Pangeon. The rocky soil and the climate of the area, which is affected by the cool breeze of the Aegean, are the most important factors for the grape production that make high quality wine. The philosophy of the winemaking focuses on the production of high quality wine that is bind by the ecosystem of mount Pangeon and expresses the uniqueness of the natural surroundings. To achieve this goal, the cultivation and vinification take place under special catering, using not only the knowledge and experience but also by merging tradition with technology.
