Step by Step Instructions
  • Step 1: Prepare the meatballs. Place the minced meat in a bowl with the onion, the garlic, the eggs, the rusks, the parsley, the tomato, the olive oil, the salt, the pepper, the vinegar, the ouzo, the mastiha and mix together, very well.
  • Step 2: Put the meat mixture in the refrigerator for 1 hour so that the ingredients are combined. Finally, shape into small balls.
  • Step 3: Heat the olive oil until it is warm enough. Flour the meatballs, shake off the excess flour and fry them for a few minutes, until they are brown and cooked on the inside.

  • 1 tomato (grated)
  • 2 big barley rusks (soaked in water and squeezed well)
  • 1tbsp vinegar
  • 4tbsp ouzo
  • 1/2tsp mastiha powder - cooking mastiha
  • 50g extra virgin olive oil
  • lemon
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 1/2 bunch of parsley (finely chopped)
  • olive oil for the frying part
  • flour for the breading part
