GAEA NATURAL GRAPE GLAZE. The Greek Crema di Balsamico Petimezi is based on a Greek recipe produced in a traditional way. GAEA Petimezi Cream is made of 100% natural grape juice syrup (grape must). It is produced in a completely non-industrialized way: in order to obtain the creamy texture water is removed. As a result it is 100% natural, without any preservatives or additives. Ideal for salads, raw or cooked vegetables, cheese, or strawberries. Try it with Greek yogurt or with ice cream, panacotta, cheese cake topping. Garnishes and transforms any dish into an artistic creation.

Product History
By the term "petimezi" or “molasses“ we mean the grape syrup that comes from a condensation of the must of fresh ripe grapes. It is a traditional product with a wonderful aroma and unique taste. Petimezi is traditionally used as a sweetener replacing sugar. It's wonderful on top of donuts and yogurt, mixed in green salad dressings, in marinades, cookies (biscuits), coffee and tea. It is considered quite energizing for the human body, as it is rich in iron and calcium.

Agrinio is the biggest city of Aitoloakarnania and its history dates back to the prehistoric period. In the 4th century BC, the battles between the Aitolians and Akarnanians took place there, and in 314 BC it was totally destroyed. It reappeared in the 12th century as the Despotato of Epirus and subsequently passed into the hands of the Serbs, the Albanians and finally the Turks, until 1853. The natural landscape of the region is characterised by the Panaitoliko Mountain with its many peaks, Lake Trichonida and the River Acheloos, which runs through the fields of Agrinio.
