By the term "petimezi" or “molasses“ we mean the grape syrup that comes from a condensation of the must of fresh ripe grapes. It is a traditional product with a wonderful aroma and unique taste. Petimezi is traditionally used as a sweetener replacing sugar. It's wonderful on top of donuts and yogurt, mixed in green salad dressings, in marinades, cookies (biscuits), coffee and tea. It is considered quite energizing for the human body, as it is rich in iron and calcium.
